Boma — Flavors of Africa is the breakfast and dinner restaurant located in Jambo. Reservations are strongly recommended. If there is ever a time when you wish you had your own vehicle to travel around the Walt Disney World Resort, I highly suggest looking into our Minnie Van Service.

Between that and Jiko and Sana’a, the dining options at AKL are outstanding.

They stopped every day to take garbage and leave towels. This wouldn't change our mind about staying at AKL again but could alter some other people's decisions and should be taken into account.

(10/10) Buses ran well, but in general we had really good transportation karma this trip, so it might've just been our lucky week! Transportation is close to the lobby, and generally functioned very efficiently. (10/10) We think this resort is totally worth the additional money you will pay. The house juice, coffee and service were also well above average at this pricey but delicious restaurant. When we missed them the next morning they where already gone. AKL doesn’t offer monorail or water taxi service, so guests relying on Disney transportation will have to use the shuttle buses (the slowest Disney transportation method). At one point when my kids were playing in the splash area I looked at some pictures I had taken and it looked like we were at a pool in Africa. The kids’ club isn’t free, but parents dining at Boma or Jiko receive one free hour with a valid dinner receipt. The room was gorgeous and remodeled. (2/5) Room was no better than a regular studio. What does Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge Offer for Families? The bathroom has a double vanity separate from the shower area. Like the lobby, guest rooms at Animal Kingdom Lodge have an African safari theme. Sometimes they cane twice a day.

We did have a breakfast reservation at the Poly, so it was a bit stressful to have to wait for a bus to pick us up. Sanaa was unwilling to make us any food even though people after us were able to order pizzas (they were friends of people that worked there). (10/10) Love the refurbed room, especially the fabulous shower and 6-drawer dresser.

(20/25) Room was as clean as expected and smelled clean and fresh.

After a long day in the parks, it was fantastic to have dinner and drinks appear at our room. (3/5) I literally had two polar opposite cast members experiences.
